308 Palma Brass Flash Hole

I must be missing something obvious here. I've got my .308 Palma cases and I'm using CCI BR-4 primers. What I didn't realise is that the flash hole is smaller than the standard 308 case and is the same size as the 6.5x47. That's obvious you all say.

Unfortunately the small primer de-capping pin does not stay in the de-capping rod as it's too loose. How do I get around this? Is there a special rod? I can't find any special Palma resizing dies anywhere.

My current dies are Redding Competition.

Decap with a decapper only die. Sinclairs do one.

Then use your normal dies without any decapping pin installed. Rgds JCS
