Amleto63
Apart from general paper works done by NRA Italy for the next Europeans (Bisley's accreditations, Shooters' EU green cards, custom, etc.) are there any particular issues for firearms' transportation from/to Hotel and hotel room storing? Is bolt removal and storing in a safe (with ammunitions) OK for UK safety and legal regulations? Thanks in advance for any reply and suggestions Cheers, Amleto
GeorgeB
I would think the best place to store your rifle and ammo overnight would be at Bisley. I suggest you ask Mik for advice.
Amleto63
Is it mandatory or just an option? All the non UK shooters have to do that?
desparado
Amleto, It is not mandatory to store your rifles in an armoury. Basically, the law requires you to take all "reasonable" precautions to ensure the security of your rifle. Unfortunately, the definition of what is considered reasonable is not stipulated, though there is guidance on the subject. As a bare minimum, you would be well advised to keep it out of sight in a locked guncase, separate from the ammo', and keep the bolt with you when away from the rifle. So long as you can prove you have taken all reasonable precautions, you should be OK. Cheers. Des.
