Lifesaver Bottles - if you don't know all ready. You can put pretty much any water source in them and with a few pumps they produce clean safe water.

These are the nuts. I've been in India and Africa drinking from rivers, lakes and anywhere I could get water and never been ill. Highly recommend them.
