dannywayoflife
Guys I need a T handle Torque wrench calibrated for 68" lbs for my new dta srs covert. Where can I find one? I've seen seekonk ones in the US but the supplier has yet to email me back letting me know if they have on calibrated in that torque setting. Cheers Danny
DW58
What is the exact setting require - presumbly 68 inch-pounds, is it for action/barrel screws? Does it have to be "T" handled? There are several available but most are either screw-driver handle or ratchet-lever plus I'm not sure if you'd be able to set something as specific as 68 inch-lbs, more likely 65 or 70. I've just bought one made by Weaver (as in US-made scopes) which is calibrated 10-80 inch-lbs. See here. There are plenty available in the US, but not so common on this side of the pond. Deserttech Europe
I see WIHA have a 70lb torque wrench which would be perfect. regards Ewen
Hatzi
8Nm converts to 70.8 lbs/in if I am correct? http://thirdeyetactical.com/precision-torque-driver.html I have got one and find it like all Wiha tools, precision made and very effective. dannywayoflife
Ewen the dta instructions I've down loaded state 68" lbs what do I need 68 or 70? I've found a place that I can get the seekonk wrenches from I'll go with that.
brown dog
Current paper instructions say 70inlb; I guess it was changed in order to match seekonk for 'neatness/availability'. ....and all these wrenches have around a 4% +/- accuracy so that has to allow for 67-73 inlb even on a 70 wrench. The Borka tool has a 65 and 72 inlb setting - so that could be an option too.
