Tikka 595 DBM

Recommended Posts

Getting them is no problem, I deal with them regularly.

The 595 requires the action milling out underneath to accept the magazine lips, which are too wide for the action. This is also a problem when using the AICS 10 round plastic mag in .223 on the T3. It requires the mag lips shaving down , making them weak and prone to breakage.

Machining metal from the action requires a full reproof.

Hi Dave, I'm still cogitating on this one ;-)

I have been offered use of a milling machine (with guidance) and have drawings of what is required from supplier of DBM.

Would I have to reproof if I did the work on my own rifle or merely when resold?
