bradders
We were shooting Highpower. AR15's and iron sights at 600 So after starting the day off at 600 and letting the boys do their Highpower thing, the AR was brought out, mag wound up to 15 and Fig 11's engaged with 77 Bergers. Then out came a Fig 14 and the challenge was on. It took me 6rds to find it, and then hit it 2 in a row. Fred on the other hand hit it with his first 2 shots :wondering: Then I met someone who gave me this sample to try Then I went to the bog by Jennys and found this "lock" on the toilet door Then I went to the range office and came out with this And after zeroing it at 300 Shot 2x McQueens with the LPSC Then I saw Viz who showed me some cases from HPS ammo!!!!! Then I watched someone else shoot the McQueens with this long barrelled AUG Then I watched the next generation of Cottrell being shown how to take over from his old man Then I went to S Siberia and watched Ian shooting offhand with his .260 While this geezer shot .22 very LBP one handed while shielding his eyes from the sun Then I came home About the AT.... The NRA has bought 2 with 3-20 Schmidt's. Each comes in a Peli Case with 2 mags, bipod and a range log for round count etc. To hire it was £17, but not really available to the Joe Publics. It's being kept back for McQueens and CSR matches, but I asked and Peter and Fred both said yes :-) I bought 40rds of 7.62 GGG and have to say that it was a joy to shoot, and I am now sorely tempted :-P After loading with 10 and using the first 2 to walk it on, the next 8 were all in the 10 & X rings (US Highpower target 1MOA X, 2 MOA 10, 300yds) Fred then fired 3 rds with 1x10 and 2X's

c18rch
What was wrong with HPS brass? Looks to me as if it wasn't generating enough pressure to seal correctly hence the sooting. I have 300 once fired HPS brass that I aquired. None of it looked like that. The brass itself is pretty consistent in terms of weight, primer holes/pockets etc.
