baldie Posted December 20, 2013 Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 This was an interesting one. its a remmy .243 that the chap uses for Foxing with an Archer. He had an eye relief problem as users of such gear are probably well aware of. I fitted a Tubb 3 way adjustable buttplate to the manners stock. It now has around 5" more adjustment and solved the problem. While it was in it was fully bedded and then Ceracoted in OD green with black marbling. garyw Posted December 20, 2013 Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 nice job dave- why did the guy not have you fit an extended rail[forward] this would have been the better solution[in my mind] i have this set up on my tikka for a 14 fitted to a ags scope eye relief is same as a scope.the rail cost me £25 and that was drilled to match my action. nothing wrong with what you have done though.
