Swarovski1
Hi all, ive recently had my t3 varmint in 25 06 rebarrelled to 6.5 06, its a 1 in 200mm twist, approx 1 in 7.89 inch twist, will this twist let me shoot 95 or 100gr bullets sub 0.5 inch or better before I waste my money, have asked this question on another site, I had a couple of positive replies but I am not sure if they have exactly the same twist, slightly slower twist may make all the difference.atb swaro. DaveT
If you use the Miller stability formula you can tell if your rifling twist will stabilise the bullets...... but assuming it does then the MOA accuracy is down to the gun and you not the twist rate per se. Swarovski1
Thanks dave, according to the miller formula calculator they will be stable, atb swaro
henryo
That will stabilize pretty much anything - up to the various 140gr target bullets.
palo
My sako 6.5x55 1/8 twist is very accurate with sierra 85 grain varmint bullets so they might be worth a try.
