ruger no1 trigger

Recommended Posts

Surprised no-one's replied to this.

I had a look at one today, which had clearly had work done to the factory trigger. It had a tiny amount of creep, and i'd estimate a weight of pull around 2 lbs., so they can be improved.

As they come from the factory, Ruger no. 1 triggers are just about unusably heavy. My mate has a Number 1B in 243 for sale, which I believe was worked on by Norman Clark. The trigger on that is really quite good.

I have seen the odd Kepplinger set trigger on number 1's over the years, but don't know of anyone selling a replacement trigger unit in the U.K.

The Kepplinger is available and in stock at Brownells. Give Roger a ring at SYSS and he will put one on the next order for you. [ it requires an export license , which he has ]

Wasn't asked to do anything with the trigger, sorting out something else.

Impressed with simple ingenuity of action, but not with agricultural construction..
