LONG RANGE CAPT
I'm thinking of replacing my 6.5x47 barrel on my AW with a 20 inch heavy profile. Has anyone had any experience with a 20 inch barrel in 6.5x47 and if so what was it like on velocity and accuracy ? Kind Regards Rob
dannywayoflife
Baldie did his tactical tikka in 6.5x47 with a 20" tube if memory serves
baldie
I get 2850 with a 123 grain scenar Rob. Accuracy is just as it should be. It was the gun we were shooting in Wales if you recall. My old 28" barrelled gun was producing 2950 , so the velocity loss is very small.
