maltbuck
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has one of these presses? Handled a compact magnum sized one the other day and was surprised at the amount of lateral play in the arm/linkage system as much as 1/2-1 inch. The ram is obviously enclosed in the framework so very little if any movement there. Any thoughts? Regards MB.

The Harrell compact is a favourite of the Bench Rest reloaders, who need the best-usually in 6ppc size-so I doubt there are many serious flaws in it's performance,as 25 shot .25 aggregates are barely competitive! John MH
I've got one, no problems with excessive play. Use it at the Range now and again.
minkstone
Had mine a few years now, lovely little press, have got 1/4" of lateral movement each way on mine on the linkage, the ram is still a tight precision fit. Regards.
maltbuck
Thanks for the replies, I thought that this would be the case. Just used to the zero play of my Forster press. Regards MB
