AitkenD
Thank you for the reply. I do not know if there is a protrusion difference between large & small primers.

Jinks
On my 22-250, the protrusion is 62 thou (595 action) On the 6mmBR, its 81 thou (590 action previously a 22-250) Both bolts have original, unmodified firing pins. Cheers, Jinks
AitkenD
Thank you for the replies gents, It would seem that the norma ammunition has a 'soft' primer, I'm having about 1 in 10 with primer being pierced. Protrusion that I measured was .070" so would seem to be ok.
