Bambi-basher
http://accurateshooter.wordpress.com/2007/...moor-cartridge/ Here is another new cartridge in the elk of the 6.5X47, this time using a large rifle primer, looking like a bit of too much choice in this area now. It says you can load 140gn bullets in a 308 size action. Col48, might this be a answer to your problem with the 260 and heavy bullets? Bambi-basher
Think I will stick with my good old boring 243 for my mid power cartridge for now Best rgds B-b
baldie
Looks like a good hunting cartridge. It wont do anything in the target world, because its running large primers.Personally, i cant see its point. The 6.5x47 is best run with 108 -123 grain bullets at 3000 fps. This is better suited to 139 bullets.....but so is the swede. Interesting, none the less.
