S&B BDC Turrets fitted

Recommended Posts

Bought a 3-12x50 S&B second hand. Was a bit

battered up but with the newer lenses. Plan was to

send it to S&B and get the turrets changed to the

clicky types. Cost was 208,- Euros for both turrets

or 104,- for one. The good thing was that schmidt

took the scope apart, cleaned it, fitted new o-rings,

adjusted paralax and recoil tested it. for free!.

I think they even changed the front lense.

Turn around was about 4 weeks.

Panther,

snazy bit of kit.

At the moment its' more important to rig up our

crono and get some real figures instead of guessing.

so that's next.

Ronin,

it is a good price but more important was the service

which takes that bad feeling away from bying a used scope.

Had a leupold go wonky on me in the past, got the same

service from their agent in europe. A lense was loose,

this was fixed and sent back to me without even charging

postage.

Hardest part was findin one...

Cabelas didnt have,Neither did Gander Mountain,or Sportsman Warehouse

Got it off that site, took a week.

Next hardest part was tryin to write out the data as the ribbon wanted to retract.

Use 2 people or a small set of clamps.

That is a nice neat job, I have been looking for a target turret S&B for a while at reasonable money without success. That opens up a whole new ball game. Where did you send it?, Germany?.

Alycicon,

sent it to the factory in germany.

Spoke to Mr. Goerzel by phone and arranged it.

He is the head guy of the repair dep.

If you need phone no. or e-mail addr. let me know.

If you are real quick you could bid on this one,

a good price at the moment.
