solid projectiles

Hi to all

 

Has anyone else tried the solid projectiles from Thegunroomuk.com

 

I was given 100 34gr solids at the phoenix show last year.

I tried them in my .22 Hornet head shoots on rabbits out to 100 yds and found them to be very accurate

i was thinking of trying the 40gr SHP in my 223 rem any comments welcome

I've no idea what these are but surely if they're "solid" they're only useful for head shots and they must ricochet like crazy? I would never see any reason to use solids on varmints. YMMV..

I bought some from him at the Newark show last week for my .338.

 

I've not loaded them yet as im still looking for some loading data but im hoping they perform well.

Pretty certain they are banned on ranges such as Bisley because of the riccochet problem, they also behave differently on contact with the floor/butt apparently.

I would never use them in the field

I had a rabbit job in a disused sand quarry so ricochet was not problem i had no other use for them as i do not target shoot

and it was more out of curiosity + a cheep days shooting.
