Dozen Dog Foxes

Sorry guys for not putting this on here sooner but for some reason I couldnt log on.

 

Well after being laid up for a fair while,last night I was back at it,

I had a call on Wednesday from my mate Rob asking if I could do some foxing before a friend of his started lambing on his farm, well it had been a while and I couldnt wait

We got set up and we were off on the back of the farm 4x4 Mule, temperature was 4degrees when we started and after 200yrds I had eyes in the scope,

A nice big dog fox to start the evening,

During the night we must have seen at least 20 foxes on a 500acre farm,

out of which I managed to get 12 shots off at 12 foxes and I was very pleased that I conected with them all, Funny thing theywere all dog foxes, I heard one vixon calling for a wee while but never caught up with her.

The farmer has had problems with pikey's running long dogs and this prooved its self as every fox ,bar one was legging it as soon as the light went on it.

I had a lot of long shots last night and 1 or 2 on the run.

Furthest shot was 353yrds and I must say I was well pleased if I say so my self,

When we finished the temerature had fallen to -5 , now that was fresh when your driving about on the back of a truck

Rob took some picks will put them up when he emails them to me,
