Not Packham, but his RSPB buddies Spain & Juniper. How is this licensing issue a matter for NE? Surely it should be DEFRA that manages the control of pest species.

I haven't handled one, so thanks for the heads up. I'm 6'1" so a short stock isn't going to be super handy! Banus, thanks for the tip. I'll give them a call and see what the score and price is.

These are wood though aren't they? Having spoke to the guys at SSS the £550 or so price for an H-S precision stock doesn't seem too bad now. Maybe it's time to put more pennies in the jar?

Can anyone recommend a decent, affordable synthetic stock for my CZ 527 17H Varmint please? I looked at the h-s precision stocks, lovely but at £560 shipped, via Germany, to the UK are way too costly. Is there anything available in the UK, or anyone that makes them here already?
