All well and good, but you have to keep doing it as the throat erodes, and the more it erodes....the more you have to do it
But chasing the throat is something never talked about here, perhaps because guns are moved on before they wear out and the next fashionable fad gains albeit temporary popularity

I am afraid, early mosquitos were bonded with cascamite, later ones with aerolite. Araldite was invented in 1946, post most mosquitoes.
David.
I’m beyond caring, it was a simple question that got the simple answer it deserved, now it’s turning into multiple pages of blather
It’s a scope rail, just glue the bloody thing on and move on
Jesus!!!!!!

Like Bradders says, I just use Araldite. No release agent or anything complicated. If you need to remove the rail at a later date, just warm it up slightly, which will also remove any residue.

Yep
Araldite holds together the Sydney Opera House, Coventry Cathedral, the Lamborghini Aventador, the Audi R8.....and also the deHavilland Mosquito
One of the best composites ever created

Devcon is all well and good, but unless you use a lot of it, ie regular bedding jobs, you’re unlikely to have a pot of it lying around, and at £30 a kit then that’s an expensive way to get just the tiny amount you need to bed a scope rail
Araldite works, as will the dreaded JB Weld, but any 2 part adhesive will do the job

So where's the results posted then?

It doesn't help the cause when attention seeking publicity whores post on their 'English Shooting' pages of Social Media that they've just discovered Hunting and what good fun Pigeon Shooting is...................
On the one hand everyone is saying it is necessary and has a good reason, then others jump in saying what jolly fun it is........people, that is, who publicly declare they've had their FAC and SGC taken away as they are deemed unsuitable.
The shooting fraternity are their own worst enemies. IMHO
You're talking about the turd that won't flush

MIchael maybe you need to bring your kit along to one of our shoots - you will learn a lot. Incidentally, I have two Golden Eagles.
Once again, he’s in Poland! 🤔

Glad I played a part, albeit a very small one, in your excellent result 🙂
Well done Lucas

Same as the metal ones only they don't cut your thumb or cause you to swear. They are a bit more flexible being plastic so they don't grip the cartridges quite as hard as the usual metal ones so I wouldn't want to go into battle with them but for range use, they are great.
Thanks

There has been a complaint then but not quite what I was told.

Seriously, I think the law should change so that if some muppet knowingly buys a home next to something they don't like they have no legal recourse to halt it. If you don't like it don't f***** buy it simples.....
Stop right now....he has the facts wrong and this is how these Chinese Whispers get out of hand
It wasn't someone near Bisley, it was someone living on camp who made a noise complaint to Woking Council about the noise levels coming from the recently renovated Winans Range

No one will read it,start a thread on weighing your powder, annealing your brass with hot salt, which primers etc and they’ll be all over you like a rash, talk about actual shooting and your thread will be like a Wild West ghost town with tumbleweeds blowing down main street

How big do you want it and what else have you tried?

That’s not bad, brake is about what you’d expect to pay for one and the rest includes the mount and fitting

I have a photo somewhere, but for the life of me can’t find it.
When I was seriously shooting Highpower and 80 SMKs and JLKs in my AR, and I was a lot keener then, I used to do all this, and I remember starting with an OAL of around 2.450” and ending up at nearly 2.550” give or take
I was using Redding bushing dies with quite a constriction on the neck, and you could clearly see the base of the bullet half way up the neck, such was the wear
I took a photo of one of the rounds, but it seems to have long since disappeared
