  1. I know of a supplier that will not sell them for that very reason .... I also used the rear NV with a PVS-14 and then changed to the Drone pro which I still use .....  I'm not convinced on the recognition issue at certain distances I shoot with thermal so

my advice is  'get rid' and go to a thermal scope or back to NV  as once it's put doubt in your mind it's never the same .

  2. Hi All , I have a 0moa rail on the rifle now which came with it measuring 207mm long

I'm using a 40moa Tier One mount with an extra 20moa rail riser underneath to max out on the scopes travel but it just looks untidy.... I thought a 20moa rail on the AW would by the answer but SS say they don't do one . I saw that Spuhr do a 61moa mount which is classed as extra high but it would have more sense to just get a 20moa rail to replace the existing one .

  3. Hi Terry ... Mine worked well with just the microphone on the pistol setting but for ease of use I've found the little FX chrono works great on the 22lr as it goes upto 1300 ft/sec with nothing to carry and bluetooths to your phone . I made up this attachment for my Impact using arca swiss style rail and clamp which now always points in the direction your shooting but without having to fix it onto the barrel . My recent Issue was the Rempel legs were getting in the way of the tripod legs and the arca rail came to the rescue again  🙂IMG_4687.thumb.jpg.207dacd5b5f9a5312207e7818bbfd06a.jpg

  4. Aggy , I have a Mk3 Impact in .25 cal with a .22 cal barrel etc .... It shoots the 36g H&N Slugs very well around the 990 ft/sec ..... It's a nice change from my normal stuff !

I can't help you on the barrel question but whatever handles a 22 lr may handle a slug as they are similar ?

  5. I sold my 008 once i saw a friends wraith 4k mainly because of how stunning the day use seemed which was in a different league to my Pard ..... I still feel that night use is better as well with the wraith but this maybe due to a better contrast , screen size or even just being able to increase the mag by 0.1x rather than having to jump from 6.5x to 13x

I was interested in seeing what the wraith was like against the Drone 15x using the Dragonfly on both .... Out to 250 yards or so they both seemed similar in seeing clearly any target but stretching them out to a 440 yard hedgerow the wraith lost the clarity where the Drone was still clear enough

  6. I think you'll find that when you get real world data the BC's of these 40g lumps of lead are between 0.132 and 0.142 give or take ..... and not the 0.176 . Like I said I'm happy your sorted with the scope and I was only trying to help with something I'd done rather than just read on the side of a box .

  7. I had one for a short while ... I was drawn into the dark side of FFP by the G2's 150 moa travel . The scopes problem was that at 30x both the bottom 20 plus moa and top 20 plus moa had a distinct difference in optical quality compared to the middle section which was as good as it gets . Due to this issue there was no gain over my Atacr or Terminator in elevation and they didn't have any change optically at the top and bottom of their travel . If your not buying it for 150 moa you will not be disappointed in it .

  8. Your going to need 70 to 75 moa of elevation to get to 400 yards which I'm guessing the Vortex doesn't have . There's a world of difference in shooting 400 yards compared to 300 yards with subs even in mild conditions ! Try shooting 400 yards with your 6-24 before you spend your money ..... It's not the amount of wind that gives you the problem but the very tiny changes that can't be seen that will put you off target . At 446 yards the wind on my 22 was similar to one of my 7mm's at 2,600 yards to give you a guide .
