  1. CG-RPA 2000 and CG-Paramount actions were fully designed by Robert Chombart (CG). The own brand RPA and Paramount stuff without CG in the name took design notes from CG, but were simplified for ease of manufacturing or to use remaining stock from the previous era (Swing->Paramount and Paramount->RPA). @Re-Pete Does your 2000 have integral recoil lugs like a true RPA Quadlock/2000 or does it have 3 screws and use the flat back end of the action as a recoil lug?
  2. Interesting, thanks. It's up on saleroom for Harper Field here: https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/harper-field/catalogue-id-srstr10142/lot-9f391d3c-b3cf-4a37-8572-b15b014b5b73 Harper Field describe it as an ordinary S&B 3-12x50, but it clearly says L17A1 on the scope lol. I'll keep an eye on the auction but probably won't be able to afford it anyway.
  3. There's a S&B L17A1 for sale on an online auction, but I can't find much about them on the internet and the few references I could find are quite cryptic. Are these just ex-MOD and simply don't turn up for sale often?
  4. Very cool. I didn't realise there were Tikkas TRs around. May I ask what happened to the Trakker sights please? I am looking for a set of Trakker rearsights actually!
  5. Hi, Sorry to hijack your post. You say you prefer Bergers more than Sierras... Would you be interested in 150 rounds of factory Norma Diamond Line 6mmBRs? They are loaded with Berger 105gr bullets, I think VLDs? Price is not very competitive though I'm afraid. I am offloading my 6mm factory ammo as I'd rather buy .308 ammo and retire my 6mmBR rifle until I have enough funds to pick up reloading kit to shoot at a more economical rate. If not for this, I'd be interested in the Sierra 107s and I am also conveniently based in London. Thanks.
  6. Perhaps it is time you came back to fullbore TR just for fun Robin! Some open meetings allow 5.56 as it is technically Rule 150 compliant. I'm beginning to wonder whether I should've got a second rifle in .223 and not 6mmBR as it's getting quite uneconomical and doesn't get much use beyond the occasional shoot at 300yd...
  7. This might be difficult to achieve as free rifle barrels tend to be thicker than standard rifle barrels which is where a lot of the weight difference comes from. I'd be interested to know what action you have though, do you mind sharing a photo please!
  8. I have 92 once-fired Lapua 6mmBR brass for sale. They have all been shot in the same rifle and have not been prepared at all for reloading. Packaged securely in factory Lapua 105gr ammo box and old Norma box. £50 for the lot + shipping
