iIs probably the thermal scope I have mounted there a c*nt to zero. Ill throw the day scope back on it and see if that will hold zero

Have had to re zero it three times in recent weeks. bullets are hitting lower than when i zero it at 100 yards. 1.5" low first time 3" low second time and 2" low third time. very little windage corrections on all three occasions but they also had to be made

I see that in their warranty but I have not used reloaded ammo in this barrel

I only have the gun back 4 months! And the bore snake only does an oil clean out after being out of the safe even if it has not been fired on a shooting trip

If I shoot strings they are 3 shot strings which since I got the gun back have not done many of. No more than 3 occasions. Its been cleaned regularly because of what happened last barrel i use the KG line of cleaners KG-12 and KG-Copper eliminator and after each shoot it gets a minimum of brunox gun oil and a bore snake through it.

So I got the rifle back after 10 months with the barrel replaced by Tikka in Finland. I continuously had to chase both the supplier and retailer throughout the whole process. The first thing I did was scope the barrel for my own record on 10 Apr 2021 barrel was dirty which I expected from test firing so i cleaned with KG-12 carbon remover before I mounted and got the gun ready to set up to zero . On the 30 Aug 2021 after 70 rounds down the tube I re scoped the barrel to discover the same problem starting to happen once again. I was super cautious with the new barrel and took very good care and took every precaution to keep it well maintained. Have contacted the retailer and advised of the problem once again they are trying to blame me this time by the few emails that have gone back and forth. I have now advised the retailer because of his terrible attitude that he will have to deal with my solicitor this time as I want my money back this time and refuse to send the gun away again for another shitty barrel to be fitted and be without it again for god knows how long. I've seen other threads on this site for the same Tikka T3 TAC A1 gun in different calibers with the same issues since I originally started this thread.. Any thoughts on a brux barrel

Still shooting good but it's the time of order to time of delivery im concerned about brexit has f***ed everything... at the moment I reckon its going to take about 8 months to get a new barrel

I bought it second hand I've put close to 3000 down the tube. It has fire cracking plus a small bit of pitting lands are ok for the moment but because of the country I live in I have to look at least a year ahead

So time has come to rebarrel my TRG chambered in 308 this will be my first experience of doing this with a rifle so I'm a total newbie. I'm happy with the calibre for what shooting I do and for the "components I have in stock" which I have enough of to last me a long time so calibre change is not on my mind. Has anyone rebarreled a TRG and if so what barrel, twist rate, length, profile & no of groves... I shoot mostly 150-175gr bullets. I would like to keep the gun at the same weight because I do some long range steel plinking plus carbon fiber barrels are too expensive. Any advice would be appreciated.

After less than 300 rounds down the tube I originally over estimated in my first post and I'd say it's closer to 200 rounds down the tube of a new barrel. so how if you say carbon fouling after 2-3 hundred rounds cause that much carbon fouling? Gun is stored in a small room with 2 dehumidifiers

If it was the sweets that did it surely it would be throughout the entire barrel?

I use it in the 308 aswell with no issues... maybe the steel is better in it I'm switching over to bore tech or what would you recommend?

Sweets 7.62 left in for ten minutes, jb bore paste sometimes, brunox spray oil to clean those out then hoppes no9 and last 303 gun oil if being stored for a while
