  1. Shhhhhh don’t tell anyone but this is what we do in the countryside.

what this man has done and continues to do  is perfectly legal and above board , also shows full conformity to the forum rules regarding posting of pictures ( a smile wouldn’t go a miss but hey )

there are lots of us that shoot fluffy things and it’s completely ridiculous to hide the fact that we do from others , there not stupid.

why be ashamed? I just don’t understand this incessant need to try and decive the public .

and comments like “ I’m not against shooting because I shoot stuff as well but …. ) is unhelpful really

It’s a bit like that other shittty saying “ oh I’m not a racist because I have black friends too “

    anyway ..

shooting in this country has much better problems than the posting of a couple of pictures  and they certainly won’t be the cause of mr packham stopping anyone or anything not in the long term . It really does not matter if you shoot holes in paper or fluffy things were all be handing our guns in together when that day comes .

think maybe some just need to relax a little

  2. Cracking weeks shooting 👍 and there’s me moaning I have 1-3 a week

I also use clausen calls a number 5 and get on really well with it  along with my trusty Sam Neyt.

I just can’t get on electronic calls I was given one 8 yrs ago and it’s still somewhere in the shed ,

    you can’t buy fieldcraft !

I may have to give that number 4 a go though .

  3. I have never been asked for a log . If I was ever asked I would just show them my barrel shot counts for each rifle has to be the most accurate way of record keeping , after all in not like  your going to be adding loads of extra rounds just to just to make it look like your shooting more than you are . 🤔😉

anyway if you only shoot at your club there are range records that have all the proof the police would need to see how many shots your firing , it’s all written down in the logs , dates , calibres , shots fired etc .
so just tell your FEO to look at the range logs , no need for more self regulating.

Opology to the opp . Yes !. Never heard of this on any other scope before ??. Joking apart what is good in your opinion might not be mine. It all boils down to preferences, you say your zero compromise is better than a PM11 , that's just your opinion .Haven't  looked through a ZC and always had,  S&B, my choice for what shooting I do 👍😁

The problem you are referring to is NOT exclusive to ZCO , this is an issue that came about with the ARC m10 rings and the quoted toque settings of 55in/lbs being far to much and just just not needed

it started way back in 2018  long before. ZCO didn’t start shipping there scopes till jan 2019

ZCO has addressed it now and stated that only 25 in/lbs is all that’s required.

With apologies too the OP for a quick hijack but I must respond to "Poxy PM11s"  which is   neither fair or true.  I guess you're just reacting to the (intended?) poke by JohnMH ?

A scopes function is to gather light, magnify and focus the image without parallax, present an accurate reticule, track dialled settings precisely and stand abuse.  Short of surviving the dropping of a rifle out of a chopper onto concrete I'm not sure what the no-compromise is referring to?

I've looked through plenty of top-end scopes (not ZC) and SB have all the qualities, and then some, of others.

A bit of extra elevation is nice but I shoot to 2000m with my PM11 with a zero at 200.  It'll do me for the rest of my days.

Maybe go and have a play with a ZCO . ( and yes just having a bit of fun poking a stick at John , he’s a big boy I’m sure he will be fine 😉
    I have pm11 sitting up stairs , along with a swaro X5i /  kahles K525i / Leupold Mark 5 HD

among others , but the old pm11 would be bottom out of the above without doubt.

  6. I wouldn’t take a great deal of notice, there’s only a handful  of people that have even seen one let alone look through one. I shoot quite a few different ranges and I always get people have a look through mine and come away gobsmacked .

Some tend to compare it with there poxy PM 11s , which were great 20 years ago.  It’s quite laughable.

the hardest thing would to actually find someone credible who actually slates them . Or even a bad review.
