I’m sure with a quality barrel - if fitted by a competent rifle smith you should be able to develop a load that returns single hole accuracy at calibre diameter or just slightly larger without resorting to a tuner
You don’t say if the brass you’ve loaded is brand new or left overs from the old barrel
If the new barrel was chambered and headspace’s to the same dimensions as the old barrel then it should fit
The issue will be the bore diameter of the Bartlein will likely be different to the Sassen it replaced and if tighter land diameter will manifest in higher pressure
something to bear in mind from the onset
A tuner may help with a generic load but doesn’t replace good practice load development
👍🏻
Hi Andy..
He said he had 500 rounds already made up 😳.
I hope they fit as that's alot to redo 😬

The chambers vary and the ammo that fitted the old chamber may not fit in the new one
-
I gave up on hunting ammo as the accuracy is poor..
I use eley match and they do the job better because of better accuracy
-
Yeah stock is different colour that's it
-
I favour eley match..
I tried buying that LRP off newsatton..
Everything was agreed and he change his mind due to expenses..
I even tried offering half of the RFD costs and said I'd just have one mag instead of the 2 so to go through with the sell but he opted out.
His choice..!!
I'll probably get the Mk2 now

Nice that..
How does the LRP shoot..?
-
I can't vouch for the 6mm version but the 7mm 162ge eldx's shoot and work superbly

So the UK warrantied units are selling or likely to sell at £530
yet people are buying from the states at 500 and incurring import duties and vat to the tune of over 100
Non UK importer supplied units are not covered by warranty in this country and no doubt they will have serial number so easily verified
Am I missing something as why it is sensible or even an intelligent option to buy outside the uk ?
I'm waiting patiently myself.
