  1. Thanks folks.

I have the T3 Lite and the Tac A1. I can and have stripped and cleaned both bolts on both my Tikka's.

I was lucky enough to get the tool used for stripping the bolt down when I bought my Tac A1.

However, I don't mess with trigger units, due to lack of knowledge. And the dangers it could cause.

I'll strip the bolt shortly and see how dirty the parts are.

    Cheers! 👍

  2. Help! I've had my Tikka T3 lite for around 10 years. I bought the rifle from a UKV member. And until now worked flawlessly.

However, the last time I used it, it started playing up. I would load a round, into the  chamber. The circled part is always showing as loaded when you cycle a round.

Then I noticed when I cycled the action, (empty chamber) the circled bolt indicator below, would on numerous occasions click back in out of sight.

I presume the part is called a bolt indicator?

The gun then fails to dry fire, and I have to cycle the action again and again sometimes it's fine and others the bolt indicator just clicks back into the bolt.

I'm after some info, any info as to the likely cause??

I was going to strip and clean the bolt as it hasn't been done for a while, but I'll wait you some opinions,

    Cheers folks.

  3. I bought a lovely hand made leather Tan wallet from himself and his wife, around 2 years ago, and it's still going strong and looks great!!

I'm trying to get hold of Him/Her , As a close friend is retiring, and has always liked my one-off wallet. And I said I'd sort him one from the same source as I got mine. Just a HUGE Presumption on my part....

    Hope you folks can help.

  4. Hi folks,

The picture shows a Lyman case prep centre with a LEE Precision hand operated case trimmer screwed into one of the rotating points.

Would I be right in thinking someone has worked the Lee hand trimmer down in diameter on a lathe. Then cut the threads to fit the Lyman thread pattern enabling it to screw into one of the rotating positions on the Lyman case prep?

I presume it can't be bought, as I've looked. Feel free to make me look a prat and find one for sale.

And lastly, If it has to be made from the Lee trimmer, can anyone out there help me, by turning my trimmer down and threading it on your lathe.

If someone can help, then I would obviously pay for work.

    Thanks all.

  5. Hi folks,

I have a second car, but over time, as you can imagine, using it for shooting it cops a few scratches. I can get them out ok with different methods, but my old liquid Auto Glym polish isn't cutting it. I'm after anyone's knowledge about a polish they use that is a thick hardish wax in a tub with an applicator. The stuff we used to use before liquids came along. I'm after a good quality one which won't come after a couple of showers. I'm aware of "ceramic coatings", and have some. It's good quality polish I'm after.

Please could you let me know If you use a good brand and it's name.

    Cheers.

  6. Thank-you Laurie.

That was very useful info. I shoot out to a maximum of around 600 yards generally.

Clearly, getting hold of them could be a bit hit and miss from your information.

I may have found a place that sells my go to primer of Federal Gold match, and I'd need a 1000 small and a 1000 large.

But I'd need to confirm this tomorrow. I don't mind a bit of a drive to keep my reloads as they are, without fiddly adjustments.

Anyhow, thanks for the info, and I'll have a good read of the link you provided.

    Cheers.
