So i have a Trg 42 in 300 win mag, im looking to rebarrel next year with a 7mm of some kind ideally i can buy the brass off the shelf and i would be shooting the hornady 180gr eld m, I've narrowed it down to either 7mm saum or 7mm rem mag i can see the pros and cons of either cartridge and i think I'm swaying to the 7mm rem mag because of the lower pressures when operating near the 2900-3000 fps mark when compared to the 7mm saum at the same speeds. Does anybody have any views or information which could inform my decision further ,that they would like to share? Many thanks,

My input having shot at roundhouse for 3 years is that, Some in this thread should take a step back and appreciate the effort that the PRL organizers have put in. The pricing is fine there is significant outlay for a shoot day [barricades/firing points,steels, frames, sentries to name a small amount oh and the labour time to do all of it The Prl day is probably the best days shooting you can have in the uk The two day format is great and has long been a staple of the roundhouse venue and should not change ,it could do with some minor refinement I would quote john mh's point above in regards to reworking the ranges on the ELR day even then i think its thoroughly enjoyable Keep the timings for stages on the elr day it keeps the pressure element on
