I have a kahles k624i, got a ior recon from optics warehouse compared it to my kahles, send it back and bought another kahles, it was to fussy to get a good image having to adjust all the time for different ranges didn't like the zero stop and soft clicks.

1 in 8 twist with a  24 or 26 inch  barrel shooting 77grain tmk will take you out to 600y 

What's barrel life like with a 6.5 prc 

Stability has as much to do with length of bullet as well as weight, you should be able to shoot Sierra 100grain pro hunter through your  .243 as these are flat base and short.

Hi would anyone know if there is a max weight of barrel that a rem or tikka action can take saying barrel is fully floated, just thinking the longer and heavier you go much put a lot of stress on the action ,

Try thinning it down, I find 12 to 1 works well
