  1. The binoculars that the ubiquitous SIG KIILO3000 BDX should have been - the Vortex Fury HD 5000 AB features the Elite version of the Applied Ballistics solver, complete with a full suite of onboard environmental sensors and the all important digital compass. The Furys can simply be thought of as a Kestrel that you look through. Press one button to range the target, and the Applied Ballistics Elite solver does its magic instantly, providing you with a heads-up display showing you your come-up and windage. If you can range it, the Fury will provide you with a firing solution, and it has support for 800yds+ shots and the Custom Drag Curves etc. which non-Elite based products lack. It really doesn't get any better. The Accompanying Vortex smartphone app, is of particular note. I've used much of the competing products, and Vortex's app which you use to enter your ballistics data and to interact with the binos themselves has the most intuitive user interface of them all. It makes a huge difference in itself. The Furys are hands down the single best shooting-related purchase that I've made in as many years. Genuine reason for reluctant sale. At OPW: https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/vortex-fury-hd-5000-ab-laser-range-finding-binocular-10x42 At Vortex: https://vortexoptics.com/fury-hd-5000-ab-10x42.html You won't believe how spot-on these LFR binos are in their firing solution predictions. it's like having a superpower in your pocket. These are as new, in their original box with the GlassPak harness etc. Photos tomorrow when the sun's out. £1,400 to your door. Mainland UK only.
  2. I replaced all of my Schmidt PM IIs with Vortex Razor Gen. IIs, but now I have this one sitting unused. Having run Schmidt PM IIs, Kahles, Swarovski and Nightforce in the past, I can say that the glass on these scopes is absolutely stunning. I prefer the EBR-2C reticle for shooting tiny groups, because its open centre means it has zero target coverage regardless of magnification. At OPW (albeit it with the EBR-7C reticle): https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/vortex-razor-hd-gen-ii-4-5-27x56-illuminated-ffp-ebr-7c-moa-rifle-scope At the Vortex website (albeit it with the EBR-7C reticle): https://vortexoptics.com/vortex-razor-hd-gen-2-45-27x56-riflescope.html In it's original box, without a single mark on it. I'll upload photos tomorrow, when the sun's out. £1,800 to your door. Mainland UK only.
  3. Only used once, in the back garden. Not for me I'm afraid! Same as this one here: https://r-p-r.co.uk/kestrel/5700-elite-weather-meter-applied-ballistics.php £500 to your door (mainland UK only).

PST5255 - SOLD All scopes are in great condition, with perfect lenses. RRP of these scopes is £1,170, asking price £750 each, posted to mainland UK. Price is for scopes only and does not include any accessories pictured. Also advertised elsewhere. One of the most underrated scopes on the market at the moment, you won’t believe how good the glass quality is! I wouldn't be selling these if I had a choice. Genuine reason for sale.
  5. SFP version of the PST II. EBR-4D (MOA reticle) As new condition, no marks on tube or lenses, half RRP at £450 posted.
  6. I’m looking for once-fired Sako 6.5 Creedmoor brass. If any of you have been shooting the 144gn Sako Range FMJBT ammunition that comes in the x50 box, and you aren’t planning on reloading your spent brass, then I’d be interested in buying it.Why Sako in particular? I have more than one 6.5 Creedmoor rifle, and I like to keep the brass for each chamber separate by using different headstamps. Lapua and Hornady are already in use… and I already have some Sako to hand…I’m looking to pay £30 per 50, posted.
  7. I’ve never personally bothered to break in CHF barrels, they’ve already been pummelled by hammers millions of times during their manufacture - if there’s an imperfection after that ordeal then no barrel break-in procedure is going to fix that. Thats my rationale, anyway.
  8. Anybody got first hand experience of the Sig Cross? What are your impressions?
  9. This'll give you some idea of the detail that the XP50 can pull-out. Please note that the unit was handheld during this capture and not mounted on a rifle!
  10. How's about you reserve judgement until you've actually tried one? Then we'll see what you think? I've yet to meet anybody who has actually tried one, who wouldn't agree with my statement 110%!
  11. TBH I would say that the Tract and the Stryker are neck-and-neck in terms of optical quality. Theoretically, the Tract should have the edge, because it uses Schott glass cells, but in reality, optically, I tested them every which way I could, and I couldn't differentiate between them. However, the Tract is hands down the best made scope that I've ever owned. Not that there's anything wrong with the Stryker that I had, it was a very well made scope. Both are essentially made by Japan's Light optical Works, who also make the flagship Vortex Razor HD Gen II & III scopes, Nightforce etc. LOW are absolutely at the top-of-their game. But the tolerances on the Tract are perfect. It genuinely makes everything else, including Swaros, Razors, Nightforce, Kahles and PMIIs feel like junk in comparison. I genuinely think that the only reason Tracts aren't getting snapped-up at the moment is because they are so rare (and people are obviously feel the cost-of-living pinch, and delaying discretionary purchases). Very few people have actually had their hands on a Tract. Friends that have seen mine have certainly gotten their knickers in a twist. the ELR-MRAD in particular seems to impress folks. But they are all either SFP or MOA die-hards. Doesn't stop them from constantly asking about the Tract though! I think Tract are going to be the next big thing, particularly in the PRS world, and in the next few years their value is going to soar. You heard it here first! The only reason I'm looking to sell is because I have other scopes on my bucket-list which I'm curious to own. But I suspect that I'll look back in years to come and say to myself "I wish I had held on to that Tract". In fact, I think I've pretty much decided at this point to do exactly that, and hold on to it!
