  1. Unfortunately, Joe West only currently make F-class stocks for F-class actions. I'll try Jacksons rifles to see if they can help. Thanks for your advice. Cheers Paul
  2. Evening everyone. Can anyone tell me if there is anyone who makes a benchrest stock for a Sako 75 6ppc, or maybe someone who has one for sale secondhand, please? I've tried searching on the internet, without any joy - I'm obviously not looking in the right places, so any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

  4. Thanks Richiew. That seems something like it. Although I was going to go with 15 inch pounds and use Loctite 2 blue for the screws. I will call the importer tomorrow and find out if they have any ideas, just to be on the safe side. Cheers. Paul.
  5. Is there a standard torque setting for picattiny rail screws on any rifle, or are they manufacturer specific? I have a Sabatti rifle, but there isn't any information I can find about this; and the factory is closed for the Summer, as is most of Italy manufacturing.....
  6. Hi Ronin. I've managed to get a case holder machined out by Spud, so that the shehane case now fits and all works fine. Next it's onto the next stage of load development.
  7. That appears to be the case, but having spoken to Spud, he suggested getting it polished out on a lathe, which isn’t much use, as I don’t know anyone that could do that. Oh well, that looks like the end of the road for that particular method…. Cheers. Paul
  8. I’ll give him a ring, because I bought it from him. 👍 Is the one that works, like the rest of your case holders, or did you need to modify it, yourself,?
  9. Evening all. Does anyone here, use a LE Wilson Case Trimmer for their .284 Shehane, Lapua Brass, please? I'm trying to find out which trimmer case holder you are using for this, as I have been told that a 6.5 x 284 trimmer case is the way forward, but this has proved to be the wrong information, as my brass won't go more than halfway through, so cannot be trimmed. If someone can point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful, as the Trimmer itself is a marvellous piece of kit. Here's hoping....... Paul.
  10. Ok, I understand. But if you do change your mind, just let me know. Good luck with your sale. Cheers. Paul
  11. Would you be willing to sell the optilock bases separately, please? Cheers. Paul
  12. Cheers Mark. That's more than they told me!!! The next bit is seeming to prove just as difficult, as I'm finding out...... I've heard a few people are not happy with the quality of the Whidden dies that hey have received, in various calibres, so it's turning into a proper challenge. Hopefully someone can perhaps tell me different.
  13. Hi Alan. I totally agree with you and I've tried to get this information from the Manufacturer and the Importer, but as yet no response, which doesn't fill me with confidence, so I think it might be time to draw a line under it and go on the more "normal route" of a straight .284, now my variation has gone in; or I could just not bother and stick with what I have, until I get more research done.
  14. Hi Ronin, Thank you for your prompt reply. I forgot to mention that this is a "Factory" rifle - Sabatti and is advertised as a Shehane, so I can't ask whoever made it. I've tried contact the company direct to find out if it is actually "Shehane", as advertised or actually a straight .284, but had no reply.
  15. Good evening. I'm hoping that someone out there can tell me where I can find a quality set of .284 Shehane dies, please? This is for a "Factory rifle" - Sabatti, but I can't get a reply from them, to confirm it is actually a Shehane, as advertised and not a straight .284, but had no reply as yet. Because I haven't picked up the rifle yet, as I'm waiting for a variation, I might end up changing my mind and going another route, depending on what information / advice I receive. I seem to have exhausted all the avenues I can think of and keep coming up blank. If anyone can give me an idea as to cost as well, it would be much appreciated. I'm also happy to go with a good condition second hand set. The main emphasis is on the quality side (as long as my bodily organs can remain intact), but any information or advice is much appreciated. I await your replies. Cheers. Pengo
  16. Hi there, I'm not sure how to upload from my phone, but I can send you pictures via whatsapp or messenger if you send me your contact details. Cheers. Paul
  17. Thanks for the feedback, Chris. I've just priced it to sell, as I want to help someone else get the benefit.
  18. Price reduced. Can be collected or willing to deliver within a 15 mile radius of Chesterfield. Cheers. Paul.
  19. And don't forget to add your location, before the Admin block your ad.......
