Yes, that occurred to me - resources already strained, hardly likely to get additional help.
Quite how the FEO will check through one's social media is not clear..
Sounds to me its an opportunity for a wee program

Chris Parkin review on the s20 looks like some issues with the magazine design being sloppy with miss feeds
What got me was that all the other reviews had the same issue. So either GMK did a poor job and just kept loaning out the same rifle or they all have the issue.
Whatever, why would anyone take the risk?
Concept is fundamentally flawed in any event

The guy in Borders Gun and Tackle in St Boswells has two boxes of second hand reloading stuff just in from some guy giving up.
There were 2 powder throwers in it, one defo Lee the other probably RCBS by the look of it.
Give him a call, he is open to a deal

By 'Beaten up' I mean the recoil of say a 190 / 200 grain .30 cal bullet from a .300 WinMag which would give similar ballistics to a slippery 140gn 6.5
Which is exactly what I mean by a contrived comparison.
If the 6.5 CM is going to be compared to the 300WinMag then you should at least use bullets from the same century. The 6.5CM is nothing special except it can use high bc modern bullet so we should afford the 300WM the same luxury. So if you run the 300WM with a 230 Berger then the 65CM isn't at the races.
Personally I am bored with 14 years of this crap.

Have to say, I can never understand the desire to make MOA and MILS complicated. They are different definitions of an angle. There is a ruler in the scope, clicks on the turret. Adjust and shoot. No need to be able to translate that into linear dimensions on the target to make a hit.
It may be interesting to understand the maths but there is no need.
How is any of this hard ??

In my opinion the 6.5 Creed outperforms the .308 at long range.
Yes

No. Not without a silly contrived comparison

For pure target work I don't rate any AI or Sako over a good custom rifle (a fair comparison considering the purchase price).
Don't know the attraction for AI myself unless considering a hard life needing a robust tool.
And I think that's the split isn't it. Custom lets you get exactly what you want from a craftsman but you are potentially in a queue for parts. Resale value is determined by how "attractive" your spec is to the shooting community.
With AI or Sako it is factory, so fully engineered product with service and spares on tap, designed to be easily reconfigured so potentially more of a platform. Volume production also helps iron out design and manufacturing issues. There is a resale market for these brands but it is probably thinner than people think.
Pay your money, take your choice

So the answer to my question is:
"The thread on the AX 308 and AT, AW is M27 but the AXMC is larger at M30 so barrels between the std action and the magnum are not interchangeable,"
-
I have a 2013 AX i.e. not the MC version.
Is the thread on the barrel the same for all versions? Was it just the method of securing the barrel that changed with the MC in 2014?

Possibly because they monetised the video ? If a youtube video makes between $3,400 and $40,000 per million views and this was watched more than 52 million times then the dude made between $176,800 and $2,080,000. Having said that, I didn't see any ads so maybe a missed opportunity. Not sure if youtube allow monetisation on shooting vids anyway.
But $2,500 to get your name in front of 52m people sounds pretty cheap - 0.005 cents per view

Do 10 round load development. 5 rounds does not give enough data to show/suggest a node which is what you are looking for. You have just done a pressure test.
Isn't that hell of a slow for a 168gr particularly if you are at book max? Suggests short barrel, wrong powder ? I am launching 165gr out of a 20" barrel at 2700 fps and that's not really hot.
You maybe need to rethink your approach. Think there is a post on Snipershide from a few years back where Frank took a shorty out to 1000 but with a 185 grain Berger Juggernaught.
-
Mixed.
270 110gr TTSX early days in load development but looking like 3/4 moa minus, maybe 0.5 but not had enough rounds to confirm. Possible could match the current lead round.
308 130gr Fox - not so much a group as a pattern on a piece of A4. Worst grouping I have ever had out of any rifle by a mile. So bad I gave them away for free. BUT I see Venables got a decent group. Rifle shoots 0.5 moa+ so no idea what was going on.
