Nice A , im no way near finished ! But did get the 2nd of a pair 2 days ago that was soo shy - because id nailed his partner . Every time id have him almost lined up with s410-177 , when i would cheek the rifle heed see the movement . This happened 6 odd times over the last 2weeks . He had somehow got the feeder on the floor taken one of the food balls under the bbq bench and was having a good meal , he did look up at for at least 5 seconds but i didn't move and he carried on ! seconds later a 7.9 accupell whistled thru the boiler room richochayed off the patio and tinged off the metal shed 10 yards behind . He made it a few feet and fell over ! Im going to put in some bisley HP - pestcontrolls now , but a wise one off the streets as it were

Looks like a juvenile as the leangth of his tale is short . And the definition of colour in his feathers arnt quite there yet , well he won't be getting anymore defined in plumage now anyway This is interesting tho , i remember a few years back seeing an all black 100% magpie on the same bit of ground every morning for about a month , then he went missing ! I think some one stole my idea - took it with an air rifle and sent it to the taxidermist ! Thats what id of done if id managed to get it ! I bet John Darling would of too RIP

    Which boots ?

Thankyou for input im thinking so i dont necessarily need goretex as they be used mainly spring to autumn ? If leather is good quality and looked after ? I normally just wear chamu wellies and cheaper dunlops when its muddy and wet mostly for winter !

I know what you mean , it varys , they are i think the most difficult quarry to snyp ! obviously it helps when they haven't seen you . It sometimes pays to move position but they could be watching from distance . So wont ever come back . But they do get deeply curious and sometimes do ! Iv often shot 2-3 maggies in succsession which makes me over the moon

lol nice , i do love air rifles for sniping them . Theres a certain tree they love 48 yards away , and my first milldot ( with .177 AAs410 ) is set as point of aim at that distance iv had two recently both one shot kills , its a credit to pcps accuracy and effectiveness . keep it up lads off soon with hmr to deal with some more

visited 3 shoots today , it was quite windy and iv broken my kestrel ! limited my shots to 300 but still struggeled today, missed carion at 270 yards - not enough windage . But have managed to start my magpie cull with a lone 231 yarder ! - had 1 rabbit 1oo yarder , BUT my biggest annoyance was a grey squirrel just over 100 , i dialled 8 clicks - 2moa to account for my 200 yard zero ( 2" high at 100y ) and i dialled the wrong way ! IDIOT - i seen the large hole appear 4" above its head lol, how stupid ! At least it was a stunning day ! ATB-Tim

Its that time of year when im out after these little challenging feathered pests , this year im gunna start asap ! I noticed a few days ago a maggi allready building a nest ! Christ they dont hang about ! And after chatting with si-snipe recently ( he is an amazing marksman ! ) and seeing some of his awsome footage again on Utube iv really got the bug . weather is getting better and dryer ! Atm ill start with my hmr then hopefully not too far away im having a .20 practical built ( using 223Ai now ) for mostly daytime vermin . So anyone else share your magpie encounters, i will cheers tim.
  22. Reloading soloutions - EXcelent Spud1967- EXcelent Dauntsey guns EXcelent tim hannams -EXcelent Sportsman gun centre - HORRIBLE henry kranks- Great York guns EXcellent Richard Uttings EXcellent Sporting services EXcellent Gunsmiths well iv only used 2 : Steve bowers - Top gunsmith but you might have a waiting time as hees so in demand Niel mckillop, great prices and very good turnaround time , builds tack drivers , highly recommended . SGC - I just had too many bad times there .. after sales is horrible i bought a one piece 17 rod passing one day , couple months ago . its marked up all over in daylight and bent slightly , too far to take back . new battery pack for light force less than a year old , now doesn't hold charge ! its dead , allways charged after every use . used 10 times . bought a bushnell 3200 tactical 10X40 thru there website , it came but no reciept same as when i bought a vx3 no reciept ! ordered NF one piece direct mount for R700 S/A , 9 months later drove to get answers as they never replied to emails . even phone them and no on could give an answer ?? wtf ! they still advertise those mounts in gunmart but there not in stock . i wrote the manager saying this aint good enough , as they didn't want to give any kind of compensation at the time , after letter he sent me $20 quids worth of vouchers - for having 240 quids of my money for 9 months ( And remember i had to drive there and back just to get refunded/sorted )- was better than nothing i guess . i am now sworn never to go there again went to get cci primers , H4895 powde , 75A-max heads , none of them were in stock , - spent about 350 on reloading bits - THEY NEVER GIVE recipt ! FKN-AS##OLES
