Ronin
Just finished this Rem 700, trued (though not sleeved), action threads re cut, bolt lugs re cut, lug abutments re cut and action and bolt re faced. The bolt is a pretty tight (for a Remy) fit in the action, so I personally didn't think it needed doing. Oversize bolt handle fitted. Barrel is Lothar Walther Standard Heavy Varmint in 12 twist and 24" long and threaded with cap. Trigger is Jewel Stock is Mcmillan Rem Varmint, pillars and Devcon bedded. Bottom metal stock Rem Rail is Farrell 20 MOA incline
happyhunter
Nice work Andy. How does it shoot? (and it's in a real mans foxing calibre...)

PJS Precision
Very nice, how long did it take to polish the action like that?
Ronin
No time at all, the client had already polished it when I received it. I have a Rimrock that I polished (it came matt finish) a while back, that took a few hours on a buffing wheel and great care….though turned out very nice
triggersqueezer
yeh nice looking rifle that,i'm not a remy fan but i bet having that work done gives piece of mind.a trued action that looks like that could change my opinion.
Offroad Gary
Andy, will you stop putting up pictures of your work, you know i dont need another rifle....(apart from a .243) Ps, like the pic of the stock/barrel clearance, looks perfect. Gary, you will always need another rifle Barrel channel clearance - thats about ideal I think. I didn't bother taking close ups of the end cap (its invisible after all) Nice clean lines and lovely balanced rifle with the scope fitted, which turned out to be a Leup VX111. The rail was changed - a little high when we saw the objective / barrel clearance - so fitted lower picatinny instead.

If you want to get rid of the 22-250 you have to make way for a special one from Ronin....let me know I'll take it off your hands
Ronin
Like I've posted before, I don't usually bother testing my builds - id rather let the end user see how they shoot and after all, load development is rewarding…. Second group fired by end user Its a shooter
