shotgun sam Posted July 25, 2010 Report Share Posted July 25, 2010 I am thinking of getting a remmy 700 for my open slot for a 308 but I was told that remmingston when the safety is on the bolt can still be opened and the round then falls out. This would not be a problem on the range but i would not like to be hunting and loose a round. I have stalked with Remingtons in various guises for the last 15 years, ive never had the bolt come open and lose a round, and I do my fair share of crawling to get into deer.
