londonhunter
Hi I was going to invest a small fortune in a gen 2+ setup. I also was priviledged to use a Raptor while hunting in the U.S. last year and that's very impressive I would say it this is the best new product launched for many years. You must see it for yourself. I mounted it on my 17 HMR. It is just as comfortable on my 20TAC, 6 x 47, 30 BR or 6 PPC Went to a friend's ground and I really have to hold back what I am shooting. Bottomline - I could have cleared the whole place in 1 night If you ask anybody who has already invested thousands in a gen 2+ gen 3 equipment of course they will say it cannot match it If you ask somebody who has stocks of gen 2+ and gen 3 equipment of course they will say it is not as good But the question i asked myself is : Are these other "tube" based equipment £3000 better than what I have in my hands ? Bottomline - I am shooting everything I can see safely in total darkness with £3000 still in my pocket The longest shot to date (02 weeks) using a LED 80 mw illuminator is 220 yards I feel with a laser illuminator this will increase It will probably identify further targets but 4x magnification is limited I would not attempt targets of similar size in day time with a 4 x scope. i hope this comment is helpful
