Toby
Hi, I have heard various versions of which way up to instal Redding and Wilson bushings in the Wilson hand dies. When I ordered from Sinclair the rep said Wilson bushings number up and Redding number down. The reason I ask is that I have been using the redding bushing number up and it looks like it's just sizing just over half the neck. Cartridge is 222 Rem. Great results with accuracy today, had a 5 shot group with 50grs Blitzking 21 grs N200 10mm at 100m-well happy
jon
Do not have the Wilson instruction sheet in front of me so, from memory .. I think they are meant to size about 3/16" of the neck (about 5mm?) rather than the full neck length. Theory being that the unsized bit gives a better fit in the chamber neck and puts your bullet more centrally into the throat .. and hits the rifling square-on...... Having said that, I suppose I will have to look see which way up mine is .... but I don't remember seeing any difference.... or more than 1 number? But the do work well. . TonyH
Don't know about the Wilson dies, but Redding say it's OK to try their bushings either way up - initially though they recommend having the ID number facing downward. foxing2night
Toby, The numbers should face up,,,, Some times you can get a little more tension by reversing the bush,,, And wilson die,s only do the first 3/16 of the case neck,,,,, All the best Darrel
