I have a 25-08 Improved wildcat project in mind and would like to neck a few .260 cases down to see how my plan of a .285 bushing and .25 expander ball in my 243AI dies works out. jon Posted November 8, 2009 Report Share Posted November 8, 2009 not sure if this might help but fwiw a mate was having problems necking up some 243 win to 6.5 with his dies. Then used a 6.5 neck expander mandrel (from the sinclair kit) + some lube ..... lost 1 thro operator error) he then finished them with his bushing die. Seems they didn't like being stretched and squeezed at the same time!!
