Bullets are: 155g Lap Scenar 185g Lap Scenar 175g Sierra Matchking 168g Berger Looking for 2900fps or more if possible for all (or as near to it as possible) Not using this for vermin / game so please don't waste your time giving me info on charges for lighter bullet weights thanks - all required is accuracy Iv'e already an idea from my own manuals / internet reloading sources, but I would apreciate personal experience please. 6mmBR Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 Lapua 155 Scenar, lapua case, Fed gold match primer, 50gn Vit N550. 10 thou off lands. This load gives 2922fps out of my 26" Unique Alpine. You can get close to 3100fps with this powder (53gns) but they are warm. A very accurate but quite mild load with the scenars is 43.5 gn N150 set up same as above. They only give 2770fps but get out to 1000yds no problem. Thet are super consistent. 6mmBR Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 Glad to help I've never bothered with heavy bullets as I hit on those loads with the Scenars and they do everything I want. I know if your doing long range some guys have had good results with 210 SMK's and N550, but that would depend on your twist rate. As I said the 155 Scenars do everything I ask of them.
