baldie
Hi Chris, We have two actions currently in production. One is a cross between a volquartsen and a ruger, and has an integral weaver rail, and runs our bolt which has a pinned down firing pin.Available in any colour. This is an aluminium action. The other is a stainless steel copy of the ruger 10/22, and has a separate rail etc, but still runs the higher spec bolt. The first production batch of these are just back from proof. ChrisF
Hi Baldie , The stainless steel action , how is it held into the stock , by 1 or 2 bolts , ie does it have a rear bolt ? I look forward to seeing pics of them . Cheers Chris
baldie
Its a direct copy of the ruger Chris, so only has the front bolt. There is an action available from brownells which has a rear bolt, and mini tang. It can be bedded, but it also needs a stock modification, which is why we didn,t go this route. The reason we have done our own, is the general downturn in quality of the riger, ie, the wide use of plastic parts, and the fact that they are harder and harder to get here. We now have two recievers, our own bolt, and our own trigger unit made here in the UK. If we could get a brit barrel, and a stock at a sensible price, there would be an all british 10/22. I,ve no doubt Roger will be putting up some pics on our site, when he,s back off his hols.
