Knife makers

I have a knife here with a removable blade that i was given from my old boy. Unfortunatly the blade is broken at one end. I am after someone to make me a knew stainless blade to match the broken one.

 

Does anyone know or reccomend a knife maker ?

Alan Woods an award winning knife maker is a bit nearer, in the Haltwhistle area, Stag1933 can give you his tel no if you pm him.

Alan Woods, master craftsman, I have had two of his knives for many years.

I sent one back to him to be sharpened after gralloching hundreds of beasts with it and it came back free of any charge and in a new sheath.

My practical working knives, not swords, although he can make one if required !

Curved, ball ended gralloching blade and general purpose knife.

My Swedish semi-professional pal always says `the larger the blade the less experience of the user`, he grallochs Moose with a 3inch folder !
