adam204
Hi all. I'm going to be re loading soon for the new rifle thats imminent and I wanted to know if any one has accurate ballistic co efficients for 39 grain sierra blitz kings, 40 and 32 grain v max, all in .204 ruger? I'm asking as I have read in various articles that the bc's of bullets seldom match what the manufacturers state. If not what do you do for producing accurate long range drop and wind charts? I will be using sierra infinity 5 ballistic program. Many thanks in advance Adam

Guest varmartin
Hi Adam.... First off..plumb in all the data as accurately as you can.. IE, scope height velocity from a known good crono , add an extra 5-10 fps as you wont be measuring it at the muzzle but ( approx 6 feet away ) published BC...to start with... Your zero..200yards. Then go to your chosen safe spot and set out target boards at 300, 400, 500 600 yards and compare this real world drop data with your print out, and if things are not quite right ...then `fudge` the BC ...IE change it ..up or down until your reading come into alignment ... adam204
Thankyou for the replys. I will try to set out targets at my intended ranges although it will be difficult due to the terrain where I live! And the inclement welsh weather of course!!
