foxhunter
Travelled to my ground Friday night just to see what the cover was like and possibly the chance of lamping some cubs. Anyway there is a lot of cover so as I walked the valley I had to glass every few steps to make sure nothing was missed. Suddenly I spied a roe on the opposite banking amongst some gorse , I thought it was a doe but as I kept watching it something in me felt it was a buck. I quickly moved to the bottom of the bank and another spy confirmed it was spiker , so down on the bipod and crosshairs behind its shoulder , it dropped on the spot . Thanks Andy those 87 grain soft points certainly do the business We had a quick look out with the lamp but a lot of fields are high in cover needless to say we never saw a single fox

cooperman223
Well done, and good shooting, there is a lot of luck needed at this time of year, the bracken etc is at full height and its easy for the roe to move about un-seen. looks a nice place to sit out with the rifle. john
