Redfox
Went out yesterday afternoon with a friend driving and had a look round one of the farms I shoot on. Mid afternoon and not a lot about, but a magpie was pecking around about 60 yrds off, my mate is not good at positioning the truck for a shot so it as a bit awkward and I missed it!!, he sensibly said nothing. We carried on and saw another in the hedge low down at about 70 plus yds and I got that cleanly, further on another showed at about 200yds ( getting cocky now) the 17 rem turned it into a feather duster off the bonnet, then a couple dropped down to see what was going on and another went the same way. Then came on a youngish one just over the 100yds ( badly positoned truck again) couldnt get comfy and missed it, but it started hopping towards me so reloaded and it went in a puff of feathers too, took a rabbit at about 150yds for the farmers dog and called it a day. Like riding a bike. you dont forget how to do it but your no good without regular practice!! must get out more now. redfox
