Redfox Posted August 1, 2007 Report Share Posted August 1, 2007 The ones in Hannams are the Mk1 version and they (Lyman) replaced them as far as I know. The RCBS is also known for falling to bits, I have had 2 of them and then gave up, they are also twice the price. One of the problems with this sort of stuff is that it was designed for 110v in the USA, the European versions are designed for 220V, we here are still on 240V ( or more depending where you live) and some of the kit responds badly to the overvoltage situation. we are supposed to be harmonising in 2008 and going down to nearly 220V but with a tighter limit on variation as in Europe they are allowed to drop to 192 v and still be within limits, here all the fluorescents would go out if you did that to name but a few of the problems, we'll see how it goes.
