foxhunter
I was out for a walk last night and discovered this light coloured roe kid . Its coat was a lot lighter than normal roe kids and it didnt have the usual black around its eyes or a black nose. Just wondering if it will turn into a very light coloured individual ??? Any comments from other stalkers, what do you think ???
PeteL
What a spendid little fawn and well done for spotting it. Albinism in Roe is uncommon as it is in most mammals although there are a few cases mentioned by Tegner in "The Roe Deer" neither Frank Holmes or de Nahlik appear to mention it. As 308P said it would be a good thing to keep tabs on it. I'm sure that it will grow up with a light coloured coat. Peter
