Redfox
Well nipped down the road yesterday afternoon to the nearest farm and magpies every where again got 9 with the rimmy on the ground and then they started to get cautious. Every time they saw the truck they flew off into the next field, so brought out the bigger guns, literally, got three more with the 17 rem plus two crows, now keeping a field and half away. Farmer has put some particularly maggoty muck on which is whats tempting them, retired to the farmhouse for a cup of tea and bragging session with the farmer ( he used to be quite a decent clay shooter years ago) then out again. The 22-250 brought into play now as there was a breeze and it does push the 17 off at distance. Got three more maggies and two particularly cheeky crows, who think the max range on a gun is a couple of hundred yards, NOT! So by tea time 15 maggies and four carrions, not bad at all for an afternoon. Redfox Keep forgetting to put the camera in by the way, damn. stag1933
Christ, Redfox, I`ve only had 15 Maggies in two-and -a -half years. Carrions 112 this year and things should improve now that the farmers are getting the grass off. Got my .270 on a young Roebuck the other night just as he jumped a fence into the forest.
