n8ess
I'm looking to try a few alternative loads, has anyone tried 55 grain Nosler BT in a 6mmbr, mine is a 1-9 twist, wondering whether they would stabilize ok? I would appreciate any load data you may have. Cheers Neil
Alycidon
Should be ok, here's a few loads http://www.nosler.com/index.php?p=15&b=6mm&s=179 I was quite surprised by their accuracy in a 1 in 14 recently, 3 shot group was one jagged hole in ideal conditions. n8ess
Thanks, Which load did you use? and what was your COL Cheers Neil
Alycidon
Mine was in a PPC so lengths etc are different but I find 2 thou off the rifleing works well, powder was N133 x 29.5 gr but this is a HOT load, build up slow etc. A
Guest varmartin
Hi Neil.. You will be able to stabalize them ok...even maybe over stabalized which will make them very close to be `dust` as they leave the tube. I doubt you will achieve velocities approaching 6mm ppc loads due to the twist, but accuracy should be good enough to creat ` pink mist `out of varmints..
