Vermincinerator
Hi Craigy, A good gunsmith will be able to affix target sights to your rifle but in my opinion the price for fitting and supplying a suitable sighting system would be unjustifiably high, probably as much or even more then the price of your rifle. You would be much better served buying a used .22lr target rifle complete with proper sights and ready to go for less then the above conversion. Ian. Guest 308Panther
If nobody else will second Ian's opinion I will.....Buy a rifle equipped with them. Most sights were outsourced....or made by a company other than the gun manufacture. By the time you sort thru Brownells or equivalant and find a sight set that is compatible to each other and then to the rifle....Some may (and the key word here is may) be sold as a set.....Most are not. And if your lucky....They may give a referance to use...such as a front sight blade heigth. And if your really lucky they may have a listing for a manufactures model same as yours that was marketed with iron/peep sights... And that is saying nothing about order fill time....If your rifle make and model is still in production the factory has to grab the parts out of a bin that was reserved for production purposes...that is,fill an order.....most are reluctant to do so,Since it shorts an order.... If your rifle isnt in production any longer ...you may get lucky that they have some stock leftovers that werent used in the production process....Dont hold your breath. Once all that is gone thru and you have the sights in hand...you still have to have them installed...and depending on the time of year you could be in for a very long wait for what most would think is a simple process... Over here...We have 4 times of the year you just cant talk to a gunsmith....if he is any good at all Before the competitions......After competitions Before Hunting season.....Right after hunting season.... And one season sorta leads into the other.... 308Panther
