LiamG
i recently picked up the new rangefinder as i have named above. its been a pretty groggy day here quite hazey and a little rain. so i switched on the rain setting on the rotary menu , but i can only really range out too 700 yards , i tryed too range a large peice of aluminium that was beyond 700 yards but all i get is the dashes on the screen give a flash but no figures come up. any ideas what the problem maybe be? liam
Alycidon
If you dont hold it very still it wont get a reflection back, at that sort of range then a reading off something like a tree near the target might be as much as you can get. You should though get a good return from Ali. Mine (Leica 1200) works in the dark OK but does not like mist or fog. In fog it wont go as far as I can see. Jingzy
I had a leupold RX before and it was not reliable at giving distances at all. The warranty also lasts 12 months, there may be a reason for this unfortunately.
devilishdave
The Moisture in the air (like tiny lenses) will cause the LASER to reflect and refract. Dave
