Alycidon
I was priming some cases the other day when I noticed in the pack (Fed 205s) one primer had left the little purple star that holds the primer compound in place in the pack. I found the primer and the compound looks secure within it, I am pretty sure it is OK to use but has anyone any thoughts. I could pop it into a case, load it and shoot it straight away if I had to. Thanks A
MarinePMI
Uhh...I'm reasonably sure that without the anvil (the "star") you'll have a hard time setting the primer off (nothing to squeeze the compound between to ignite it).
Guest varmartin
Its quite rare to find one with the `anvil` loose. As marinePMI has said it wont ignite without it....so best to just bin it. No point in re building the faulty primers if you have others, as a hang fire could result...
