I am not sure where the video was filmed,My cousin sent me that in an e mail.

But the handler is definatley not speaking English....or Spanish.

Any type of Falconry here is very very expensive, and requires testing and inspection to prove you are capable of handling and treating the bird with the respect required.

Birds and licenses here can run in excess of $10,000.

It is a strange thing no one seams to condemn this in any way and to be perfectly honest neither do I. If it had have been a lurcher in the video coursing then catching the deer I can guarantee some people would have been up in arms. Dont get me wrong I think the way to cull deer is with a rifle but it is strange how most people find the bird killing the deeras acceptable. It is no more natural than a dog doing the business.

I dont think most people considered the legality of the issue but more the fact that none of us had seen this before and were interested in it. One of the posts says thw handler is not speaking english or spanish so the chances are that it is not in the UK.

Falconry is an age old sport, even over here.

Seems the only ones that can do something like that are the very rich.

Even with such a low number of participants, there really isnt anyone to

challenge the issue.Possibly also because it is so low key practice.

Most use Dove,Rabbits and Pidgeon as the prey for the bird....

This was the first I had seen of someone using a bird to drop a deer.

That wasnt your typical hawk....and to honest I am not sure wich

kind eagle that was...Tho it did appear to be a Golden Eagle.Having never

seen one outside a zoo...I have no idea how large they do get.

But I understand they get very large. That bird certainly dwarfs our

Bald Eagle.
