Adamdavi3s
Hi All, I have a S1 hatsan and would like to drop the barrel from a 28 to 24” which is technically a very simple change. However would this mean it needed to be re-proofed? I’m not clued up on such matters many thanks Adam
Akeld
If you're swapping to another barrel no, if you're chopping 4" off your existing I'd also say no as you're shortening as opposed to removing material
Adamdavi3s
Sorry yes that is a bit ambiguous, a straight swap of factory barrels
miki
The barrel you are swapping will be proofed, on a shotgun there is no other 'proofed' part. Just the barrels (which encompass the chambers). (I know the pic isn't a Hatsan, but couldn't find one ...)
Adamdavi3s
Thanks chaps, just wasn’t sure if the S1 nature had any impact.
